Job summary

Famous Footwear in Honolulu seeks an Assistant Store Manager who leads in the Store Manager's absence, motivating a team to achieve sales targets and growth. You will drive customer engagement, manage pricing, inventory, and store standards, remaining passionate about shoes and trends while ensuring a high-quality shopping experience for families.

You’ll train and coach staff, hire exceptional talent, and build an in-store culture focused on the Famous Feeling.

Qualifications

• Has at least a High School Diploma/GED.
• 1 year of sales experience (retail preferred).
• Demonstrates experience in interviewing, hiring, and training people.
• Exhibits ability to lead, manage, motivate, and communicate positively with store staff.
• Displays ability to train, coach and develop Associates to provide a great customer experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; understands retail processes.

Responsibilities

• Inspire associates with integrity and drive to deliver Customer Connection.
• Network with external talent and participate in hiring to grow store sales.
• Oversee pricing, shipping processing, inventory and daily store operations.
• Drive sales and use insights to improve location performance.
• Build a positive, inclusive culture and develop internal talent.
• Step in for the Store Manager to lead and ensure policy compliance.
