Job summary

SNIPES USA in Bloomfield, NJ is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee store staff and operations in the Store Manager's absence. You will help ensure cleanliness, merchandising, promotions, and register accuracy while driving sales and customer satisfaction.

The role requires leadership experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage floor sets and inventory tasks. This is a full-time hourly position in a dynamic, youth-oriented retailer with strong employee benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail leadership experience as an Assistant Manager or department lead is preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.
• Strong drive to achieve results and ability to take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in maintaining store cleanliness and appearance on sales floor and in stockroom.
• Set up sales and promotions with proper signage in a timely manner.
• Process register functions and ensure procedures are followed.
• Demonstrate timely execution of floor sets and promotions.
• Direct merchandise presentation according to Visual Merchandising standards.
• Identify customer needs and assess whether merchandise mix meets those needs.
• Assist with markdowns and transfers to meet sales plans.
• Lead and motivate staff to drive sales and profitability.
