Job summary

Shoe Carnival in Austin, TX is seeking a motivated Store Lead to oversee a department and help drive the store’s standards and guest experience. This role offers the chance to grow into a management position with hands-on training and leadership responsibilities.

You will greet customers, train associates on service, product placement, and cash handling; handle transactions and returns; organize merchandise and displays; promote sales programs; and delegate tasks with clear team communication.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in retail, sales, or cash handling.
• Ability to learn and operate the POS system.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be at least 16 years old.

What We're Looking For:

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Confidence in taking initiative and leading by example
• At least one year experience in retail, sales, or cash handling (preferred)
• Ability to learn and operate the POS system
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must be at least 16 years old

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs during shifts
• Comfortable bending, squatting, and reaching for merchandise
• Able to move quickly in a fast-paced store environment
