Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a dependable cashier/stocker to operate cash register, stock shelves, and lead store operations in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. You will ensure proper plan-o-grams, provide exceptional customer service, and support profitability while minimizing losses.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking, merchandising, handling returns, and maintaining a safe, clean store environment.

Qualifications

• Able to perform basic math calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide, percentages).
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposits.
• Experience with IBM cash register functions.
• Familiarity with safety and loss prevention policies.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise according to store procedures.
• Maintain plan-o-grams and merchandise presentations.
• Assist customers in locating items and provide customer service leadership.
• Operate cash register, process payments, and bag items.
• Keep store clean and orderly, including front end and stockroom.
• Open/close store as directed by Area Manager.
