Job summary

Go! Retail Group in the New York area is seeking a part-time Key Holder to open/close the store, handle cash, assist customers and keep the store organized. This hourly role reports to the Store Manager and supports promotions and sales initiatives.

Ideal candidates have retail experience, strong reliability, and a customer-focused mindset. Flexible weekends and evenings required; up to 20 hours per week, with a friendly team environment and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• One year of retail experience or related field.
• Enthusiasm about being an impactful and innovative leader.
• Self-motivated with optimistic, solution-oriented mindset.
• High integrity, accountability, reliability and feedback openness.
• Create an exciting shopping experience by staying connected with customer needs.
• Knowledge in retail operations, sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control and loss prevention.
• Basic computer skills, POS system and Microsoft Office.
• Able to perform basic math functions.
• Flexible and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer on entry.
• Execute Five Steps to a Sale at every opportunity.
• Offer current promotions and special offers.
• Operate the Point of Sale system accurately.
• Provide comprehensive service using calendars.com, email marketing, and in-store special orders.
• Maintain a store environment that meets visual merchandising standards and engages customers.
• Receive and place new shipments.
• Reset features and promotions as directed.
• Complete regular housekeeping tasks.
• Open and/or close the store as scheduled.
• Prepare cash bank at opening and nightly cash deposits at closing.
• Complete opening or closing checklists for every shift.
