What is a Store Driver?

An entry-level store position responsible for supporting the delivery of parts to commercial customers. The role includes delivering parts, assisting with inventory and task processes in the store, and must be fleet safety certified. This position can be part-time or full-time.

Primary Responsibilities

• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
• Pick and stage parts for customer orders
• Pick up returns and cores
• Distribute weekly/monthly sales flyers
• Collect credit accounts daily

Secondary Responsibilities

• Maintain store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot)
• Stocking including truck and back stock

Success Factors

• Basic driving and navigation skills
• Ability to use delivery system software
• Friendly communication skills
• Ability to locate and stock parts efficiently
• Knowledge of safety procedures and store equipment operation

Essential Job Skills

• Effective communication and relationship-building
• Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, parts catalogs, and procedures

Prior Experience

Automotive parts experience is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

Must have a valid driver's license and be fleet safety certified.

Physical Demands

Must be able to walk, stand, talk, hear, handle objects, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment

Primarily indoor work with occasional outdoor exposure to weather, moving mechanical parts, chemicals, electrical hazards, and noise. Reasonable accommodations can be provided for physical demands.
