What is a Store Driver?

An entry-level store position responsible for supporting the delivery of parts to commercial customers. The role includes delivering parts, assisting with tasks and inventory processes in the store. This position can be part-time or full-time and requires fleet safety certification.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Safely deliver parts to customers
2. Pick and stage parts for customer orders
3. Pick up returns and cores
4. Distribute weekly/monthly sales flyers
5. Collect credit accounts daily

Secondary Responsibilities

• Maintain store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot)
• General stocking, including truck and back stock

Success Factors

• Basic driving and navigation skills
• Ability to use delivery management systems
• Friendly communication skills
• Ability to locate and stock parts efficiently
• Knowledge of safety procedures
• Operating inventory systems and store equipment

Preferred Experience

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

Physical Demands

The role requires walking, standing, talking, hearing, handling, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment

Primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor work in various weather conditions, exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, electrical hazards, and noise. The environment is usually moderate noise.
