Job summary

Cardenas Markets LLC is seeking a Store Director in Training to join our team and gain hands-on experience across Bakery, Deli, Meat, Grocery, Produce, and Front End.

Upon completing the six to eight weeks of training, you will work alongside the Store Director as Acting Store Director, overseeing operations and profitability while coaching department managers.

This role emphasizes leadership, customer service, loss prevention, and staff development in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn all facets of store operations including inventory, store conditions, loss prevention, and security.
• Work with corporate management, department managers, team members, and vendors to drive sales with high customer service.
• Promote sales objectives through proper merchandising and team training.
• Conduct store meetings to discuss goals, ads and strategies for store success.
• Promote effective communication with customers and team members to encourage teamwork.
• Maintain health and safety standards for customers and team members.
• Ensure company policies are followed by all store personnel and vendors.
• Interview candidates and complete onboarding and orientation process.
• Communicate policy changes to all store personnel.
• Train, coach and develop store management and ensure departments are well staffed.
