We're looking for an exceptional Store Director to join our dynamic retail organization and lead our store to new heights in the East Detroit Market. As a Store Director, you'll be at the forefront of our business, shaping the customer experience, steering operational excellence, and fostering a vibrant team culture.

As a Store Director, you will be accountable for retail Team Members at all levels to ensure delivery of the best possible shopping experience for our customers. You will be responsible for the total operation of the store, leading in a manner consistent with our leadership expectations and core values to maximize financial success. This includes providing remarkable customer service, maintaining operational and merchandising standards, and developing a team that meets productivity and customer service goals.

What You'll Be Doing:

As Store Director, you will leverage your retail leadership and service expertise to ensure your store's success. Your role involves creating 'WOW' moments for customers and team members through acknowledgment, assistance, and appreciation. Do you have proven abilities to analyze financial data, provide excellent customer service, and develop future leaders?

• Maximize sales and maintain fiscal responsibility.
• Provide excellent customer service throughout store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members and leaders to meet and exceed goals.
• Ensure proper staffing with well-trained team members and support their professional development.
• Maintain compliance with all safety, operational, and regulatory procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
• Cultivate relationships within the local community to support the Meijer brand.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent retail experience
• At least 5 years of retail/service industry experience
• At least 3 years of leadership experience, including managing leaders with direct reports
• Minimum 3 years of retail leadership experience with General Merchandise and Grocery/Fresh categories preferred
• Experience managing retail or service operations with at least $40 million in annual sales (single or multi-unit)
• Ability to obtain and maintain necessary licenses for store operations
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and perform other physical tasks as required
