Job summary

The Save Mart Companies is seeking a Sr. Design Specialist to support the design, layout, and visual planning of new store locations, remodels and special projects.

This role ensures that all store environments reflect the company’s brand, operational standards, and customer experience goals, while incorporating functionality, aesthetics, and cost-efficiency. Qualifications

• Ability to read, interpret and understand architectural drawings
• Basic understanding of building codes
• Familiarity with brand guidelines for footprints, fixtures, and layouts
• Knowledge of visual merchandising concepts
• Experience in format development across banners/store formats
• Knowledge of design, finishes and materials
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under time constraints
• Willingness to travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain division prototypical drawings using AutoCAD
• Identify and document props, furniture, hardware and lighting
• Create visuals and plans using CAD tools
• Translate leadership concepts into fixtures programs and advise on innovations in layout and sustainability
• Provide support to resolve design and presentation issues for team members and stores
