Job summary

Town Pump is seeking a Store Deli Manager to join our team in Livingston, MT. You will assist the store manager with supervision, planning, leadership, and cost controls for the deli.

You will train new employees, conduct daily walk-throughs, manage inventory, and ensure food safety and quality. ServSafe certification is required (may be waived by the Deli Operations Manager) and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Assist in supervisory decisions and planning for deli operations.
• Promote professionalism and teamwork in customer service and store operations.
• Conduct new employee orientation and ongoing training; document performance evaluations.
• Ensure tasks are prioritized, organized, and completed.
• Maintain deli inventories, order accuracy, and favorable deli metrics.
• Perform maintenance and sanitation per standards; prepare deli items as needed.
• Monitor vendor deliveries, rotate stock, and manage PLUs and tills.
• Maintain product freshness and proper expiration handling.
• Complete ServSafe certification (may be waived by Deli Operations Manager); hold a valid driver’s license.

Town Pump is looking for a motivated and outgoing Store Deli Manager to join our team. Town Pump is a growing company, with ever increasing opportunities for career growth.

As a Store Deli Manager, You Will

• assist the store manager in supervisory decisions that are consistent with Town Pump standards, policies, and procedures. Assist in planning, leadership, organization, and follow-up with controllable expenses, sales expenses, sales increases, food costs, and shortage controls.
• set an exemplary example for co-workers in terms of professionalism, attitude, and teamwork in the areas of customer service and Convenience Store Operations.
• conduct new employee orientation and training. Promote continued development of all employees and objectively document performance and conduct evaluations.
• conduct daily walk-throughs; effectively prioritize, organize, delegate, and follow-up on tasks to be accomplished.
• maintain accurate inventories, order, and maintain deli merchandise, and achieve favorable deli metrics.
• conduct maintenance in the deli area, including basic preventative maintenance and repairs of deli equipment. Follow all sanitation procedures, and maintain the highest quality standards in food preparation. Prepare deli items and cook heated items as required. Promote kitchen and store safety.
• check in deli vendors, cross-check orders, and check items by line number. Put away the order once received, and watch for miss-picks, wrong pack sizes, and broken/open merchandise. Maintain PLUs, and print list for tills.
• keep product rotated, and fresh, and check expiration dates. Remove and discard unauthorized products.
• be required to complete and pass ServSafe certification (may be waived by Deli Operations Manager), and have a valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
