Lamps Plus, Inc. is hiring a Retail Store Associate to join our collaborative Store Team. This is an entry level opportunity with paid on‑the‑job training in a supportive position while learning proven selling techniques.

The role offers a path to transition into a fully commissioned sales position after training. You will gain exposure to merchandising, inventory, and customer service, learning to display products, assist customers, and operate the register.

Qualifications

• Motivated, upbeat individual who enjoys working with people and providing superior customer service.
• Ability to multi-task and work day shifts on weekends.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a car to visit homes for demonstrations/consultations.
• Able to climb ladders and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Regular attendance and reliability as per supervisor’s schedule.

Responsibilities

• Practices retail quality control by counting delivery items to verify receipt of merchandise.
• Receives incoming merchandise delivery and assists with loading/unloading in store warehouse.
• Advises Store Manager or Support Supervisor of discrepancies or damaged items.
• Stock shelves by style, size and type; merchandise and restocking.
• Assist with inventory tracking, tagging, labeling of shelving.
• Unpack, store, transfer, receive, hang or display merchandise with care.
• May perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, or audits.
• Prepare product displays, assemble and price merchandise for sales floor.
• Perform merchandising duties to maintain stockroom and showroom displays.
• Ring up sales at register or kiosk and check product availability.
• Demonstrate outstanding customer service and assist with customer stock checks.
• Assist other team members by pulling product and performing merchandise carry-outs.

Job description:

• Practicesretailquality control by counting delivery items to verify receipt of merchandise.
• Receivesincoming merchandise delivery and assists with loading and unloading in store warehouse forstocking orrestocking items.
• Advises Store Manager or Support Supervisor of discrepancies or damaged items.
• Arranges merchandise on shelvesaccordingto style, size and type, stocking and restocking - merchandiser.
• May be required to assist with tracking of inventory, tagging, or labeling of shelving.
• Uses care in unpacking, storing, transferring, receiving, hanging or displaying retailitems, to avoid damage and injury.
• May perform clerical duties such as filing, bank deposits, data entry, reports, audits, etc.
• Prepares product for display; includes assembling, inserting bulbs, wiring and pricing of merchandise for the sales floor.
• Performs other merchandiserduties relative to maintenance of stockroom, sales floor, and displays, (I.e., cleans, dusts merchandise, keeps show room aisles clear and lamp cords hidden, etc.) May perform audits to ensure the showroom is accurately merchandised.
• May utilize the register or Kiosk to ring out sales (cashier) or check on product availability, stocker. Handles all merchandising and currency in accordance with Corporate Security policies and views training modules when assigned.
• Demonstrates outstanding customer service and focus. May assist with Customer Stock Checks.
• Assist other team members by pulling product and performing merchandise carry-outs for customer

Job requirements:

• Have an ability multi-task.
