Job summary

Goodwill Southeast Georgia is seeking a Store Custodian for the Habersham location in Savannah, GA. You will maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers, donors, and associates, supporting the store's mission and service excellence.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors, restrooms, break rooms, and fixtures; restocking supplies; and ensuring safe operation of janitorial equipment. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail while reflecting

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of custodial or janitorial experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Knowledge of basic cleaning methods, tools, and equipment.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate positively and professionally.

• Provide a consistent, high-quality cleaning experience throughout the store.
• Sweep and mop floors and sanitize restrooms.
• Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.
• Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Empty trash receptacles, replace liners, and clean containers as needed.
• Dust and clean dressing rooms, store fixtures, desks, furniture, and surfaces.
• Clean windowsills and interior windows.
• Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe condition.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and restock as needed.
• Demonstrate proper safety practices and follow company policies.

Your Typical Day:

• Demonstrate proper safety practices and ensure departmental standards are maintained.
• Actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives by following company policies and procedures.

What You’ll Need:

• Six (6) months of custodial or janitorial experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Knowledge of basic cleaning methods, tools, and equipment.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate positively and professionally with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Dependable work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
