Job description

We are so much more than a Parts Store and we are looking for even more great talent to join our NAPA family! As a NAPA Counter Sales associate, you are considered the “face of the retail store” and the go-to person when customers enter our stores for their automotive needs. You don’t need to be able to tear down and rebuild engines (though that’s a plus), but a background in automotive parts is essential.

What you will be doing:

  1. Providing auto parts solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person and over the phone.
  2. Assisting team members with customer questions using your parts knowledge.
  3. Delivering outstanding customer service and creating a positive shopping experience.
  4. Bringing energy and customer focus to our fast-paced stores.
  5. Using technology, including computers, cash registers, and catalogs, to assist customers.

  2. Have experience in the automotive industry or enjoy tinkering with cars and trucks.
  3. Are eager to learn about automotive parts if you don’t already know.

What you’ll need:

  1. Valid Driver’s License.
  2. Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or a willingness to learn.
  3. High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade school is a plus.
  4. Excellent communication skills.
  5. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail setting.
  6. Strong listening skills and empathy for customers.

Additional preferred qualifications:

  1. Background or passion for automotive, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership work.
  2. Experience with cataloging or inventory management systems.
  3. Customer-centric attitude.
  4. ASE Certifications are a plus but not required.
