As a NAPA Counter Sales, you are the “face of the retail store” and the go-to person for customers seeking automotive parts and advice. You don’t need to be an expert mechanic, but a background in automotive parts is helpful. This role is ideal whether you want to build a career as a Parts Specialist, work full or part-time, or explore other opportunities within our company. We welcome all applicants!

What You Will Be Doing

• Assist retail and wholesale customers with auto parts questions in person and over the phone
• Use your parts knowledge to help other team members
• Provide excellent customer service and create a positive shopping experience
• Engage with customers in a fast-paced environment
• Operate technology systems such as computers, cash registers, and catalogs

What You’ll Need

• Valid Driver’s License
• Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn
• High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade courses are a plus
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail setting
• Good listening skills and empathy for customers

Additional Qualifications (Preferred but not required)

• Passion or background in automotive, heavy equipment, farm, diesel, marine, or dealership work
• Experience with cataloging or inventory systems
• Customer-centric mindset
• ASE Certifications
