Job description

We are more than just a Parts Store and are looking for talented individuals to join our NAPA family! As a Counter Sales associate, you will be the "face of the retail store" and the go-to person for customers seeking automotive parts and services. You don’t need to be able to tear down motors (though that’s a plus), but a background in automotive parts is essential.

What you will do:

• Assist retail and wholesale customers with auto parts questions in person and over the phone
• Use your parts knowledge to help team members answer customer inquiries
• Provide outstanding customer service and create positive experiences
• Engage with customers and bring energy to our fast-paced stores
• Utilize technology such as computers, cash registers, and catalogs

Ideal candidates:

• Enjoy helping customers with auto parts and services
• Have experience in the automotive industry or enjoy tinkering with cars and trucks
• Are willing to learn about automotive parts
• Want to grow their career in a supportive environment

Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License
• Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn
• High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade courses a plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Comfortable in a fast-paced retail environment
• Good listening skills and empathy

Preferred but not required:

• Passion or background in automotive, heavy equipment, farm, diesel, marine, or dealership
• Experience with inventory management systems
• Customer-centric mindset
• ASE Certifications
