Job summary

NAPA is seeking a Counter Sales associate at our Grand Rapids store. You will be the face of the retail location, providing auto parts answers to retail and wholesale customers in person or by phone. Use your parts knowledge to help teammates and ensure outstanding customer care at every interaction.

You should enjoy a fast-paced environment, have the ability to learn automotive parts, and be willing to grow with a Fortune 200 brand that values internal promotion and team development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Great listening skills and empathy for customers.
• Background knowledge of automotive parts is preferred or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person at the counter or over the phone.
• Use parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members answer customer questions.
• Deliver outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who enters the NAPA Store.
• Welcome retail customers into our store and engage to provide a positive consumer experience.
• Use technology (computer), cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system.

As a NAPA Counter Sales associate, you are looked at as the “face of the retail store” and the go to person as soon as our customers enter our retail stores for all of their automotive needs. You don’t need to be able to tear and motor down and rebuild it (however, if you can, that’s awesome) – but we do need you to have a background and knowledge of automotive parts.
