Job summary

NAPA is seeking a Counter Sales associate to serve as the face of the retail store, helping customers with automotive parts and related services. You will use your parts knowledge to assist customers in person or by phone and support fellow team members to resolve questions quickly.

You’ll deliver outstanding customer care in a fast-paced environment, welcome customers into the store, and engage to ensure a positive experience. Prior parts store or automotive exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Background in automotive parts preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to learn all things auto parts.
• Experience in a parts store or automotive industry a plus.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers at the counter or over the phone.
• Use your parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members with customer questions.
• Provide outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who enters the NAPA Store.
• Welcome retail customers into our stores and engage to provide a positive experience.
• Use technology (computer), cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system.

As a NAPA Counter Sales associate, you are looked at as the “face of the retail store” and the go to person as soon as our customers enter our retail stores for all of their automotive needs. You don’t need to be able to tear and motor down and rebuild it (however, if you can, that’s awesome) – but we do need you to have a background and knowledge of automotive parts.
