Job summary

Sun Communities, Inc. – OH-Geneva on the Lake, Sun Retreats Geneva on the Lake, is seeking a part-time Store Clerk to assist guests with merchandise sales and provide quality customer service. You will greet customers, handle transactions, and help maintain organized displays.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, professional appearance, basic computer skills, and a valid driver's license. You will work at the RV resort store, supporting daily operations and guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers, answers the telephone courteously, and completes all sales transactions (Essential)
• Ensures merchandise inventory is neat, attractively displayed and sufficiently stocked; communicates shortages to the RV Resort Manager and Store Supervisor (Essential)
• Operates cash register, fuel console, lottery machine, money order machine, and telecom transactions (Essential)
• Receives payment from customer in cash, check or credit card and accurately counts and provides change when applicable; reports cash shortages to RV Resort Manager (Essential)
• Assists with merchandise orders, receives and verifies vendor deliveries, and stocks merchandise; maintains good vendor relations (Essential)
• Performs shift opening and closing duties as assigned by Store Supervisor
• Greets and registers overnight campers and provides passes to registered guests
• Cleans and maintains both the inside and outside areas of the store
• Inspects store facilities and equipment to ensure safety, cleanliness and proper working order; reports issues to RV Resort Manager and Store Supervisor
• Other duties as assigned

Store Clerks receive and stock merchandise and handle all aspects of merchandise sales. Store Clerks also work to ensure our guests and customers receive quality customer service.

Job Duties

• Greets customers, answers the telephone courteously, and completes all sales transactions (Essential)
• Ensures merchandise inventory is kept neat, attractively displayed and sufficiently stocked. Communicates inventory shortages to the RV Resort Manager and Store Supervisor (Essential)
• Operates cash register, fuel console, lottery machine, money order machine, and telecom transactions (Essential)
• Receives payment from customer in cash, check or credit card and accurately counts and provides change when applicable. Reports cash shortages to the RV Resort Manager as needed (Essential)
