Job summary

The Salvation Army in Lewisville, TX is seeking a retail associate to assist customers, stock shelves, and maintain clean, organized displays of furniture, bric-a-brac, books, clothes, and other items.

You will rotate stock, move donations to storage, prepare donation receipts, answer phones tactfully, and perform routine cleaning. A High School diploma or GED is preferred; prior retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Retail store experience preferred or any equivalent training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist store customers in selecting and purchasing items.
• Stock, arrange, and display items; rotate stock as needed.
• Return items to proper locations and maintain clean displays and storage areas.
• Answer the store telephone in a tactful and courteous manner.
• Assist with moving donations to storage and prepare donation receipts.
• Perform cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and window/mirror cleaning.

Perform routine security activities while observing customers shopping in the store. May assist with moving donations to the storage area; prepare and provide donation receipts. Perform various cleaning activities, including but not limited to clean display racks, shelves, windows, mirrors, storage area; sweep and mop floors; clean other areas as needed. Answer the store telephone in a tactful and courteous manner.Education and ExperienceHigh School diploma or G.E.D. preferred and experience working in a retail store preferred or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.Licenses and CertificationsNone
