Job summary

Salvation Army in Plano, TX is seeking a Store Associate to assist customers in selecting and purchasing items, stock and display furniture, books, clothes and bric-a-brac, and rotate stock as needed. You will also perform routine store security, help move donations, and provide donation receipts as required.

As a full-time team member, you will keep displays clean, respond to customer questions, answer the phone politely, and support daily store operations to create a welcoming shopping

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• Retail store experience preferred or any equivalent training/experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist store customers in selecting and purchasing items.
• Stock, arrange, and display furniture, bric-a-brac, books, clothes, and other items; rotate stock as needed.
• Perform routine security activities while observing customers shopping in the store.
• May assist with moving donations to the storage area; prepare and provide donation receipts.
• Perform various cleaning activities, including but not limited to clean display racks, shelves, windows, mirrors, storage area; sweep and mop floors; clean other areas as needed. Answer the store telephone in a tactful and courteous manner.

Stock, arrange, and display furniture, bric-a-brac, books, clothes, and other similar products; rotate and/or rearrange stock as needed; return items to the proper location. Perform routine security activities while observing customers shopping in the store. May assist with moving donations to the storage area; prepare and provide donation receipts. Perform various cleaning activities, including but not limited to clean display racks, shelves, windows, mirrors, storage area; sweep and mop floors; clean other areas as needed. Answer the store telephone in a tactful and courteous manner.

Qualifications: Education and Experience

High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred and experience working in a retail store preferred or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
