Scope of Responsibilities

Works under direct supervision and follows standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.

Job Summary

Responsible for ringing out each customer’s purchases while ensuring total customer satisfaction.

Job Duties

1. Accurately scan and ring out all customer purchases using POS register including cash, check, and charge transactions.
2. Provide correct change to customers.
3. Follow proper procedures for closing out the register at the end of each shift.
4. Request additional help as needed to maintain appropriate customer service levels.
5. Assist customers with large purchases, including carrying purchases to their cars.
6. Replenish inventory from in-store stock and incoming orders.
7. Maintain a clean and professional checkout area through general housekeeping duties.
8. Assist in maintaining store cleanliness, including restrooms, break rooms, backrooms, and entryways.
9. Replenish register supplies as needed.
10. Answer phones professionally, maintaining customer service levels.
11. Assist with inventory management, price marking, and merchandising of checkout and surrounding areas.
12. Follow company policy in reacting to potential shoplifters.
13. Support the implementation of Kinney Standard of Presentation (Merchandising).
14. Assist with ordering replacement products from suppliers.
15. Identify and return outdated or overstocked merchandise to the proper source.
16. Package and prepare items for home or business delivery accurately.
17. Complete all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
18. Perform other duties as assigned.

Attendance Requirements

Must be available and punctual for scheduled shifts.

Experience

Preferred 0-1 years of related experience.

Compensation

$15.50 - $16.00 per hour. The final offer will consider skills, experience, and education.
