Overview
Scope of Responsibilities: Works under direct supervision and follows standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.
Job Summary: Responsible for ringing out customer purchases while ensuring total customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Accurately scan and ring out all customer purchases using POS register including cash, check, and charge transactions.
- Provide correct change to customers.
- Follow proper procedures for closing out the register at the end of shift.
- Request additional help as needed to maintain customer service levels.
- Assist customers with large purchases, including carrying purchases to their cars.
- Replenish inventory from in-store stock and incoming orders.
- Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean checkout area.
- Maintain store cleanliness, including restrooms, break rooms, backrooms, and entryways.
- Replenish register supplies as needed.
- Answer the phone courteously and maintain customer service levels.
- Assist in inventory management, price marking, and merchandising.
- React appropriately to potential shoplifters following company policy.
- Assist in implementing Kinney Standards of Presentation (Merchandising).
- Assist in ordering replacement products from suppliers.
- Identify and return outdated or overstocked merchandise.
- Package and prepare items for delivery.
- Complete mandatory and regulatory training programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Attendance Requirements: Must be available and punctual for scheduled shifts.
Experience: Preferred: 0-1 years in a related position.
Special Conditions of Employment
- Drug testing.
- Monitoring for exclusions, sanctions, and disciplinary actions.

Compensation
