Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. is seeking a retail checkout associate to ring up customer purchases, handle cash transactions, and provide excellent service. The role includes assisting customers with large buys, replenishing shelves, and ensuring a clean checkout area.

The position requires punctuality, the ability to stand for long periods, and attention to detail in sales transactions. Training and daily duties support store operations at the Plattsburgh location.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Adept at handling cash and basic register functions.
• Familiar with POS systems and scanning products accurately.
• Great attention to detail and accuracy in transactions.

Responsibilities

• Scan and ring up customer purchases using POS register; process cash, check, and charge payments.
• Provide correct change and ensure accurate receipts.
• Close out the register at end of shift per procedure.
• Assist customers with large purchases and carryouts as needed.
• Restock and replenish inventory from in-store stock and incoming orders.
• Maintain cleanliness of checkout area including restrooms and break rooms.
• Answer phones with a professional greeting and assist customers as needed.
• Support inventory management, price marking, and merchandising around the checkout area.
• Identify and address outdated or overstocked merchandise with suppliers.
• Package and prepare items for home or business delivery.
• Complete mandatory training and other duties as assigned.
