Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. is seeking a cashier to ring up customers, handle payments, and provide courteous service at the New York store.

You will maintain the checkout area, assist with inventory, merchandising, and ensure a clean, safe shopping environment while following store procedures.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and POS transaction experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
• Familiarity with merchandising and inventory basics.

Responsibilities

• Scan and ring out all purchases using POS register including cash, check and charge transactions.
• Accurately provide change to customers.
• Close out the register at end of shift.
• Assist customers with large purchases and carry out to their cars if needed.
• Replenish inventory from in-store stock and incoming orders.
• Maintain checkout area cleanliness and general store cleanliness (restrooms, break rooms, backrooms).
• Replenish register supplies as needed.
• Answer the phone with a proper greeting and maintain customer service levels.
• Assist in inventory management, price marking and merchandising of the checkout area and surrounding departments.
• Assist in identifying and returning outdated or overstocked merchandise to the proper source.
• Package items for home/business delivery.
