Job summary

Kinney's is seeking a customer-focused cashier to ring up purchases and ensure satisfaction at the checkout. You will accurately scan items, process transactions, and provide correct change while maintaining a clean, professional checkout area.

You will also assist with inventory, merchandising, and basic store tasks, answering phones and supporting delivery packaging. Punctual attendance and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in cashier or related position preferred.
• Friendly and professional customer service attitude.

Responsibilities

• Scan and ring up purchases using POS, handle cash, checks and card payments.
• Provide correct change and close out the register each shift.
• Assist customers with large purchases and carry-outs as needed.
• Replenish inventory and assist with price marking and merchandising.
• Maintain check out area cleanliness and restrooms, break rooms, backrooms, entryways.
• Answer phones with proper greeting and maintain service levels.
• Support inventory management, orders, and vendor communication.
• Follow Kinney standards of presentation and arrange replacement products.
• Identify and return outdated/overstocked items to the source.
• Package items for home/business delivery; attend mandatory trainings.
• Attend scheduled shifts on time and perform other duties as assigned.
