Job summary

SpartanNash in Mancelona, MI is hiring a store cleaner to keep common areas clean and serviceable for customers and associates. You will dust shelves, clean bathrooms, sanitize carts, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required.
• Good verbal communication with customers.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills; detail oriented.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally; stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Dust shelves and fixtures, clean windows, sweep/vacuum as needed.
• Assist in bottle room maintenance, empty full bins, return bins.
• Clean bathrooms daily; sweep and mop floors, sanitize sinks and toilets, refill paper toiletries.
• Sanitize shopping carts and maintain cart return area.
• Sweep sidewalks, remove trash and debris; assist during winter conditions.
• Use general cleaning equipment and chemicals safely; follow PPE and safety guidelines.
• Carry out tasks in other departments as needed.
