Job summary

Michaels Stores, Inc. is seeking a Retail Store Cleaning Team Member in Awendaw, SC. You will help keep the store clean and safe while delivering friendly customer service and assisting shoppers.

Responsibilities include trash disposal, floor cleaning, and assisting with store operations. This role involves standing for long periods, lifting, and working nights, weekends, and early mornings to support store standards and brand promises.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures.
• Dusts and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and products for cleaning and places items back in correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas with the use of cleaning materials and equipment.
• May mix water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions as specified.
• Deep cleans key areas (bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways) to maintain a clean environment.
• Keep cleaning equipment neat and report supply needs for replenishment.
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning and completes tasks.
• Performs tasks in accordance with SOPs and company policies.
• Maintain positive interactions with team members and customers; model behavior.
