Overview

Break Time Shift Leaders assist in the management and operations of a Break Time Convenience Store. This role provides an entry point into management, helping with store finances, shift supervision, and paperwork. Shift Leaders are energetic team members who believe it only takes a moment to make your day better.

Responsibilities
  1. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, engage with customers, handle complaints courteously, and ensure fast, friendly transactions.
  2. Store Operations: Assist with daily reporting, banking, inventory, fuel management, and maintaining cleanliness and equipment.
  3. Merchandising and Sales: Support marketing programs, price merchandise, promote sales, and ensure merchandise is stocked and presentable.
  4. Supervision: Supervise shifts in the absence of the manager, train new employees, and assist with performance evaluations.
  5. Communication: Maintain professional communication with customers, vendors, and staff.
  6. Financial Responsibilities: Understand store finances, control shortages and expenses, and assist with audits and loss prevention.
  7. Teamwork: Exhibit professionalism, assist in recruiting and training, and adhere to regulations.
  8. Technology Use: Utilize POS systems and other technology, perform calculations, and complete reports.
  9. Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, adhering to company policies.
Minimum Requirements
  • At least 18 years old
  • Customer service-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and operate computers
  • Physical ability to handle products in cold environments and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long hours and occasionally use ladders
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Successful background check and drug test
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Preferred Skills
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Management or retail sales experience
