Job summary

The Fresh Grocer in Cedar Grove, NJ is seeking a Bookkeeper to ensure accurate daily sales reporting, handle all forms of tender, process deposits, and comply with store security procedures while assisting Courtesy Counter staff. Responsibilities include balancing drawers, recording store sales and hourly readings, maintaining neat work areas, and following cash handling and QA guidelines.

The role pays $17.00–$19.00 per hour and requires the ability to stand for long shifts and lift up to 50

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Stand/walk for full shifts.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs., occasionally 50 lbs.
• Work with fresh, dried and/or processed products and substances.
• Work in varying temperatures.
• tolerate dust and chemicals during housekeeping duties.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Work cooperatively with others.
• Follow time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces and equipment.

• Keep item prices and locations known to assist customers.
• Report any suspicious activity or mishandling of funds.
