Job summary

XL Parts and The Parts House is seeking a Store Stocker to receive, stock, and organize automotive parts in our Texas warehouse. The role requires quick thinking, physical capability to bend, stoop, and reach, and climbing a short ladder for top shelves.

You will read orders, move materials, and ensure items are prepared for packing and shipping. The position is full-time, with a standard Monday–Friday schedule, and eligibility for benefits is included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• 0–3 years warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to pass background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Read customer orders and determine items to move or gather.
• Move materials from receiving to storage or other areas.
• Sort and place materials on racks or bins by size, type, or code.
• Assemble customer orders and place them in pallets or on shelves.
• Mark materials with identifying information and open containers as needed.
• Record material counts and weights to verify quantities.
• Enter data into computer systems as required.
• Prepare parcels for mailing and shipment via common carrier.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

The Store Stocker is responsible for receiving and stocking Automotive parts. The ideal candidate should be able to move and think quickly, able to bend at the waist and knees and climb a short ladder to reach top shelves.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Reads customer’s order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Conveys materials and items from receiving areas to storage to other designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders in pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
• Marks materials with identifying information. Open boxes, crates, and other containers.
• Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
• Weighs or counts items for distribution within the warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Uses computer to enter records.
• Prepares parcels for mailing and shipment via common carrier.
• Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• High school Diploma
• 0 to 3 years working in a warehouse
• Good to above-average computer skills
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures preferred
• Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. Some overtime may be required
• Must be able to pass a criminal background and drug screen

Environmental/Occupational Health and Physical Requirements:

Typical 9-hour day to include reaching, standing, walking, kneeling, lifting and carrying. To perform the duties of this job the employee must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment. The heavy lifting of 50lbs or more may be required.
