Job Description:

As a Store Associate, you will provide prompt, efficient, and courteous guest service, follow company policies and procedures, and sell merchandise while delivering on RaceTrac’s mission of making people’s lives simpler and more enjoyable. This individual helps to maintain a clean, guest-friendly environment inside and outside the store. The role of Store Associate can be part or full time, with hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. Earn up to $15.50 per hour for select locations and shifts.

Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service: Efficiently complete guest transactions at the cash register or self-checkout stations and suggest products that complement purchases.
2. Relationship Building: Foster positive and professional relationships with co-workers and guests.
3. Guest Experience: Provide courteous, frictionless, and elevated experiences for guests.
4. Communication & Teamwork: Communicate respectfully and maintain a team-oriented attitude.
5. Guest Concerns: Address and mitigate guest concerns with urgency, involving managers as needed.

Food Safety & Maintenance:

1. Adhere to all RaceTrac, federal, state, and local safety regulations, including food safety standards.
2. Ensure all food and beverage offers are available.
3. Maintain cleanliness of food preparation areas and equipment according to RaceTrac standards.

Cleanliness & Stocking:

1. Keep the store clean and fully stocked to ensure an elevated guest experience.
2. Clean inside and outside of the store.
3. Stock shelves and coolers, and take inventory of shelf items.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED in progress or completed.
• 1-2 years of work experience preferred.
• Experience in a high-volume, guest-focused, transactional environment preferred.
• Ability to take initiative.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, or reach repeatedly during work.
• May require obtaining and maintaining a food handler permit, based on local or state regulations.
• May require obtaining and maintaining an alcohol server permit, based on local or state regulations.
