Job summary

Athleta in Wayne, New Jersey, is seeking an Assistant Manager to set the tone for the store and lead the team in delivering an exceptional customer experience.

You will drive profitable sales through customer and product operations, merchandising, and talent development, collaborating with the General Manager to coach Leads, Experts and Brand Associates toward high performance and a best-in-class experience for shoppers.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of retail management experience.
• Strong communication with customers and team.
• Passionate about retail and fast-paced environments.
• Metrics-driven with ability to meet business goals.
• Willing to lead, coach and develop others.
• Flexible schedule including nights, holidays and weekends.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds and use retail tech.

Responsibilities

• Support strategies and processes to drive store sales and deliver results through a customer centric mindset.
• Recruit, hire and develop highly productive Brand Associate and Expert teams.
• Own assigned area of responsibility.
• Implement action plans to maximize efficiencies and productivity.
• Perform Service Leader duties.
• Ensure consistent execution of standard operating procedures.
• Represent the brand and understand the competition and retail landscape.
• Promote community involvement.
• Leverage omni-channel to deliver a frictionless customer experience.
