Job summary

A leading retail service provider in Huntsville, AL is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily operations. You will assist in managing store conditions, customer service, and team performance, ensuring that high merchandising standards are met. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years in retail management, are team players, and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. Qualifications

• Two or more years of retail management experience, ideally in grocery.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with frequent lifting above shoulder height.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• 18 years of age or older with a High School Diploma / Equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of store operations including customer service and store conditions.
• Assist in unloading merchandise and organizing stock.
• Ensure the store meets merchandising standards.
• Assume full management responsibility in the store manager's absence.
• Assume full management responsibility in the absence of the store manager.

As Assistant Store Manager you are the right‑hand to the Store Manager! You'll become well trained to cover all aspects of store operations, achieve key performance and financial objectives, as well as directional and performance planning. Be part of it!

Here are some ways you will make an impact:

• Assists with the management of all aspects of store operations including customer service, store condition and the selection, training, supervising, and performance management of store sales associates
• Assists in unloading all merchandise from delivery trucks, organizes merchandise, and transfers merchandise from stockroom to store
• Collaborates with team members to ensure the store meets or exceeds the established merchandising standards for product quality, presentation and visual marketing/merchandising
• Keep up with reporting to support sales, earnings, and minimizing shrink
• Assumes full management responsibility in the absence of the store manager

• Two (2) or more years of retail management experience
  • Prefer management experience in retail or grocery store environments
• Physical Requirements: Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs with frequent lifting above shoulder height
• Schedule Availability: Ability to work flexible, full‑time schedule to include days, evenings, weekends and holidays
• You must be 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma / Equivalent
• Successfully pass our pre‑employment checks, including a drug screen and criminal background check
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record per GFS policy
