Job summary

Five Below is seeking a friendly Loss Prevention associate to support store security, ensure product protection and greet customers on the sales floor. This role requires attention to safety, adherence to policies and strong teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment.

The position emphasizes investigations, incident reporting, and collaboration with management while providing a helpful customer experience and maintaining the store's risk controls. Training provided for security procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of retail Loss Prevention experience.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic understanding of retail or security.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to shortage reduction / investigations.
• Work with the General Manager to ensure policy compliance.
• Maintain the employee entrance area, where applicable.
• Track packages delivered through the employee entrance.
• Conduct store physical security checks and recommend loss prevention measures.
• Perform figure 8s in store and stay mobile throughout the floor.
• Provide a visual presence at the entrance/exit and interact with customers.
• Conduct safety inspections and communicate hazards to store management.
• Greet customers as a Five Below associate.
