Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an Inventory Planning professional in the Lyndhurst, NJ area to support financial plan execution through store opportunity reviews and strategic product allocation. You will manage replenishment, transfers, and store-level inventory to maximize sales and optimize stock while collaborating with DCs and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include reviewing product performance, generating reports, and developing strategies for underperforming and high-performing products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience required (4+ years)
  • 1–2 years of experience in a related role such as Inventory Management, Allocation Analyst, Stock, or Inventory Analyst
  • Store line sales or stock experience is a plus
  • Strategic analysis skills
  • Ability to meet and increase productivity standards and promote quality improvements
  • Basic math skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Windows applications, specifically Excel
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to present and recommend strategies, build a business case, and develop a point of view
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Travel may be required based on business needs
  • Regular and timely attendance
  • Ability to remain stationary for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to operate a computer and office equipment and view a monitor for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to communicate clearly and accurately in person, by telephone, in writing, or virtually
  • Ability to reach at or below shoulder level
  • Ability to carry equipment and move boxes or samples
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States

  • Manage individual store inventory, including weeks in stock, weeks of supply, open to ship, ownership balance, deliveries, and flow
  • Manage continuous inventory flow through distribution centers with DC partners
  • Review product performance at style and store level
  • Pull reports and data for departmental use
  • Attend regular meetings with cross-functional teams
  • Develop strategies for underperforming and high-performing products
  • Communicate replenishment strategies, new flows, and preparation for future events to stores
  • Manage allocations supporting sales forecasts, receipt flows, markdown strategies, and future orders
  • Collaborate with the Senior Store Analyst on weekly strategies and allocation execution
  • Create and analyze seasonal size profiles and size scales to determine future-season orders
