Candidates should possess the ability to:

• Read and write in Spanish and English, interact with the general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, and short correspondence.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

The Opportunity

Under supervision of the Grocery Manager, the Grocery Clerk will provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service. Responsibilities include assisting customers, cleaning display cases, shelves, filling and rotating self-serve displays. Must be able to work various hours including nights and weekends, with physical requirements such as heavy lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
