Job summary

V2X Inc. seeks a Storage & Virtualization Engineer to manage VMware ESX/vSphere infrastructures, provide storage solutions, and support ANG Enterprise locations.

You will configure, monitor, and troubleshoot virtual environments, implement backup/restoration with CommVault, and ensure security through STIGs in alignment with Air Force networks. The role requires 5+ years IT experience, Security+ CE or CISSP, VMware certification eligibility within 60 days, and 0–5% travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years IT experience preferred.
• Current Security+ CE or CISSP.
• VMware certification is preferred/eligible within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in deployment of new virtual infrastructures and provisioning of VMs for ANG Enterprise locations.
• Maintain and use deployed virtual infrastructures for ANG Enterprise Network primary Wing customers.
• Monitor capacity and performance of virtual infrastructure; advise managers on thresholds.
• Audit user access and review audit trails across managed systems.
• Review server event logs for anomalies and security incidents; take corrective action.
• Configure, manage, troubleshoot ESXi, vCenter, and VM applications.
• Perform backup/restoral procedures using CommVault Backup application.
• Provide support for VMware ESX infrastructures and data storage solutions.
• Understand Air Force and ANG network systems and processes.
• Travel 0-5%.
