Seagate Technology in Longmont, CO is seeking an Engineer (Storage Virtualization and Data-Path) - Early Career to develop firmware for high-performance storage arrays, focusing on data-path management, fault tolerance, and virtualization techniques.

You will work with embedded C/C++, RTOS, and Linux drivers, collaborate with test and customer teams, and contribute to end-to-end storage solutions across global groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering or related field
• Strong C/C++ skills and object-oriented design
• Experience with embedded multi-threaded RTOS and Linux driver development

Responsibilities

• Write code to manage the data-path of high-performance storage arrays
• Develop data caching and data reduction techniques
• Develop storage virtualization code and fault-tolerant architectures
• Triage issues during CI/CD and customer-reported problems
• Collaborate with test teams and global colleagues
• Document software design and technical problems clearly
