Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Denver, CO seeks a storage systems engineer to own HDD systems, monitor health with data analytics, and deploy software improvements. You will implement OS-level changes, automate tests, analyze data, and build operational dashboards with new NPIs.

Ideal candidates will combine software and hardware insight, drive reliability, and contribute to scalable infrastructure used by AWS customers globally.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.
• 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of designing or architecting systems; design patterns, reliability and scaling.
• 4+ years of systems development in IT or data center environments.
• 4+ years of deploying and operating in Linux/Unix environments.
• 2+ years of systems design, software development, and process improvement.
• Experience leading the design, build, and deployment of complex software in production.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of AWS storage servers and devices within HWEng Storage Systems.
• Build and maintain data pipeline analytics, health dispositions, and remediations.
• Include OS-level changes, automated testing, data analysis, and dashboards.
• Collaborate across AWS to deliver scalable, reliable storage solutions.
