Qualifications

• Deep experience with relational databases at scale, especially Postgres, MySQL, or similar OLTP systems.
• Experience with database sharding, migration, or decomposition in production environments.
• Understanding tradeoffs between different storage engines.

Responsibilities

• Design the next-generation data architecture for Cursor.
• Build query attribution and guardrails for database queries.
• Define strategies for choosing data stores for different workloads.
• Own cache infrastructure reliability and capacity planning.
