Job summary

The Container Store in Schaumburg, IL is hiring a Retail Employee / Project Specialist to welcome customers, design and sell storage solutions, and ensure an exceptional shopping experience.

You will handle checkout, enroll customers in rewards, and assist with curbside orders while maintaining the sales floor and brand standards. This is a full-time, in-store role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Retail sales experience a plus.
• Strong computer skills required.
• Enjoys engaging with people and connecting with customers.
• Retail is dynamic and scheduling flexibility is needed.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and greets customers in-store or at entrances.
• Engages with customers to suggest storage solutions.
• Designs and sells custom closets and storage solutions.
• Operates registers with focus on customer experience at checkout.
• Enrolls customers in rewards program.
• Supports stock and curbside/delivery orders as needed.
• Maintains sales floor and adheres to brand standards.
• Assists with cleaning and store upkeep.
