GTN Technical Staffing is seeking a Storage Operations Engineer to support the daily operations, maintenance, and reliability of large-scale storage infrastructure for HPC and research workloads. The team manages over 200PB of storage and ensures reliable data access across the environment.

The role targets an early- to mid-career infrastructure professional with hands-on storage experience, with opportunities to grow in HPC-centric storage.

Qualifikationen

• Must have hands-on experience administering or supporting enterprise storage in production.
• Strong knowledge of file, block, and object storage concepts.
• Experience with enterprise storage platforms (Dell Isilon/PowerScale, VAST Data, NetApp, HPE or similar).
• Familiarity with Linux administration and CLI troubleshooting.
• Understanding of provisioning, capacity monitoring, and incident resolution.
• Networking concepts related to storage connectivity.
• Experience using ticketing systems such as JIRA or ServiceNow.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Support daily operations of enterprise file, block, and object storage platforms.
• Monitor storage availability, performance, capacity, and health.
• Investigate alerts, resolve tickets, and escalate complex issues to senior engineers.
• Perform routine storage administration, provisioning, access management, and config tasks.
• Assist with firmware/software updates, patching, maintenance, and hardware replacements.
• Follow change management procedures and maintain operational documentation.
• Collaborate with compute, Linux, and network teams to ensure storage access and performance.
• Identify capacity trends and opportunities to improve reliability.
