Role/Responsibilities
- Design, architect, configure, deploy, upgrade, and support various storage and backup platforms and associated management tools.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot storage systems and related technologies.
- Adhere to engineering and architecture standards and participate in technical review meetings as required.
- Participate in the evaluation, deployment, management, and integration of new technologies in collaboration with engineers, architects, and technical service teams.
- Provide incident support and participate in on-call rotations during off-hours and weekends.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including:
- Logical and physical diagrams
- Engineering and operational documentation
- Demonstrate initiative and commitment to optimizing systems and processes.
- Oversee the installation of new storage hardware and software in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Manage updates to hardware, operating systems, and software to ensure required functionality and security.
- Ensure systems are properly monitored and that metrics related to capacity, performance, utilization, and availability are regularly collected and reviewed.
- Stay current on developments in storage and backup technologies to help Federal staff assess future technology direction and strategy.

Education & Related Experience: NetApp experience is a must Hands-on engineering experience with NetApp and other storage technologies and concepts (Storage Area Network - SAN & Network Attached Storage - NAS) Bachelor's degree and 12 years of experience, an Associates and 15 years of experience with no degree. **IAT Level 2 Certification Required* OVERTIME STATEMENT: 40 hours is the standard workweek. Some programs may allow additional hours to be worked as needed. A limited number of programs have on-call requirements where compensation is provided for being engaged to wait. In all circumstances, technical employees will be paid for all time worked. BONUS STATEMENT:
All billable employees are eligible to earn quarterly bonuses that are based on the number of hours worked for that period. This hourly requirement is roughly 92% of hours available to bill in a given quarter. Quarterly Hours Bonuses are paid out on the same payroll as the time worked in that prior quarter (typically 21 days after the quarter ends.)
