A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Storage Engineer to monitor and resolve IT issues, collaborate with teams, and ensure compliance with security standards. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of IT experience. This hybrid position offers a supportive environment and competitive benefits.
Essential Functions:
Monitor problem ticket queues and resolve tickets promptly according to SLAs.
Participate in monthly security patching for the computing environment.
Troubleshoot infrastructure and related technologies by reviewing logs and error messages.
Collaborate with peers and customers on application-related issues.
Serve as an escalation point for application admins and second-level support for complex system issues.
Update storage infrastructure code levels to ensure compliance and security.
Assist vendors, customers, and peers with remote access needs.
Follow and execute runbooks and documentation for:
o Disaster recovery events
o System decommissions
o Infrastructure installs
o Infrastructure patching
Monitor infrastructure via monitoring tools.
Review architecture documentation and workflows to understand the system broadly.
Adhere to Change Management policies and procedures.
Attend team meetings and project/troubleshooting calls.
Understand enterprise networks.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
Minimum of 5 years experience in IT and services, healthcare experience helpful but not required.
Preferred experience:
HPE, Nimble, Pure, NetApp, Brocade, Linux/Unix, VMware vSphere, networking, scripting.
