Job Summary

The Senior Server Engineer is responsible for supporting the data protect infrastructure in our assigned datacenters, data rooms, and other areas as deemed necessary.

Qualifications

The role requires proficiency and extensive knowledge in Data Protection Technologies such as Veritas and Cohesity, Windows Operating Systems (Server and Desktop), and/or Linux/Unix Operating Systems.

Additionally, the position requires proficiency with VMware Hypervisor, Citrix, and related technologies.

The Senior Server Engineer must be proficient with all server hardware in a datacenter setting, including traditional, Converged, and Hyper-converged computing platforms.

A solid understanding of storage-based technologies in a datacenter setting is essential.

The role also requires proficiency in scripting languages/technologies for automation and reporting.

The engineer will produce quality documentation for installations, infrastructure diagrams, and computing environments.

Responsibilities include scheduling upgrades, installations, and maintenance with customers and peers, participating in scheduled or unscheduled off-hour infrastructure upgrades and emergencies, and being part of a mandatory on-call rotation in a 24x7 environment.

The Senior Server Engineer will proactively monitor the data protection infrastructure and provide recommendations for improvements, innovations, and remediations to management and peers.

This position requires strong written, verbal, technical, and interpersonal skills, along with proficiency in Information Technology Security best practices.

Scheduling Requirements
  • Full-time, Day M-F 9a-5p, hybrid work arrangement with 3 days in the office at either Oceanport or West Orange, NJ facilities.
  • On-call, 24x7, once every 4 weeks.
  • Travel between Oceanport and West Orange, NJ facilities as needed.
