Base pay range

We are seeking a Storage Engineer to join our client's global media and entertainment team. This role is ideal for a storage infrastructure expert who thrives in large-scale enterprise environments and is passionate about architecting, deploying, and managing high-performance storage systems across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments. The position will be primarily focused on Dell EMC Isilon and NetApp storage platforms, supporting scalable, secure, and resilient storage solutions across global operations.

This project will require the person to be remote commutable within the Los Angeles CA, New York tri-state area, or Orlando FL, and to be part of a rotational on-call schedule. We have a direct relationship with our client and are setting up immediate interviews. Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, deploy, and manage enterprise storage systems using Dell EMC Isilon and NetApp ONTAP platforms.
• Support hybrid cloud storage architectures integrating on-prem and cloud-based storage solutions (AWS, Azure).
• Configure and maintain NFS, SMB/CIFS, iSCSI, and object storage protocols across multi-site environments.
• Implement and manage data replication, snapshot, tiering, and backup strategies across storage platforms.
• Monitor and optimize storage performance, capacity, and availability using tools such as NetApp Active IQ, Isilon InsightIQ, and Cloud Insights.
• Automate storage provisioning and reporting using PowerShell, Python, or REST APIs.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to ensure storage solutions align with business and performance requirements.
• Ensure storage environments meet security and compliance standards, including encryption at rest/in transit, access controls, and audit logging.
• Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues across development, staging, and production environments.
• Document storage architecture, operational procedures, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise storage engineering, with a strong focus on Dell EMC Isilon and NetApp.
• Deep expertise in Isilon OneFS, SmartPools, SmartConnect, SyncIQ, SnapshotIQ.
• Experience with hybrid cloud storage integration using AWS S3, Azure Blob, or Google Cloud Storage.
• Proficiency in storage automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, REST APIs).
• Familiarity with cloud-native storage services (e.g., AWS FSx for NetApp ONTAP, Azure NetApp Files).
• Strong understanding of data protection, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
• Experience with storage monitoring, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of enterprise backup solutions (e.g., Commvault, Veeam, Rubrik) and their integration with storage platforms.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., NetApp Certified Data Administrator, Dell EMC Proven Professional) are a plus.
• Required to be part of a rotational on-call support schedule.
