Job summary

Borinquen Medical Centers, Inc. is hiring a full-time STOPP-E Counselor in Miami, FL. The role involves screening, assessment, counseling, and education for individuals and families facing substance use and co-occurring disorders.

You will work within an anti-oppression framework and coordinate with the Behavioral Health team. Applicants should hold a Master’s degree in a related field, be bilingual, and demonstrate strong confidentiality and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in counseling, social work, clinical psychology or related field; CAP preferred.
• Proof of licensure/certification at time of application.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English or Haitian-Creole/English).
• Strong interpersonal skills and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Screen and assess clients with substance use and co-occurring disorders.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy.
• Deliver HIV/Hepatitis education and risk-reduction counseling.
• Coordinate referrals to treatment services and case management.
• Maintain timely clinical documentation in EHR (Athena).
