Job summary

Floor & Decor in Los Angeles, CA seeks an experienced retail leader to drive sales, customer experience, and staff development. You will manage scheduling, training, pricing, and merchandising to achieve budgets while maintaining a safe, efficient store environment.

The role requires 3–5 years of retail management, strong communication, and the ability to lead teams in a fast-paced setting. Expect a demanding schedule with peak-hour coverage and close collaboration with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Three to five years retail management experience
• Ability to perform in a high volume, highly complex location
• Demonstrated proficiency in recruiting, hiring, and training associates
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
• Ability to exercise independent discretion and judgment in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Drive, teach and adhere to the P’s of retail: People, Product, Price, Purchasing, Position, Presentation, Promotion and Pro Services
• Engage customers and ensure a quality shopping experience; supervise store associates
• Strategically merchandize and follow merchandising guidelines
• Maintain store presentation standards and security through loss prevention processes
• Assist the Chief Executive Merchant in modeling exceptional customer service
• Work as KCM or Manager on Duty as required
• Conduct weekly competitive shops
• Communicate pricing and inventory issues to the senior team
• Analyze business reports to optimize merchandising, in-stock and pricing positions
• Maintain accurate inventory and profit/loss records using POS systems
• Ensure brand and operating standards are met and interfaced with corporate
• Oversee scheduling, hiring, payroll, and business planning processes
• Open/close the store as needed
• Coordinate store-level HR or loss prevention issues
