805 Beer is looking for a Line Cook II to accurately cook meats, fish, vegetables, and other hot items while portioning and plating. You will support final plate preparation across multiple stations and assist other kitchen sections when needed.

The role requires staying organized in a fast-paced environment and upholding sanitation standards. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, 4+ years of line-cook experience in high-volume settings, and a valid San Diego County Food Handlers

Job description

The Line Cook II is responsible for accurately and efficiently cooking meats, fish, vegetables, and other hot food products, as well as preparing and portioning food products before cooking. They also support final plate preparation, including plating and garnishing cooked items, across multiple stations throughout the kitchen line. If needed this role will assist other sections of the kitchen such as food preparation, sanitation and dishwashing.## Qualifications**Qualifications:*** High School Diploma or GED.* At least 4 years of related experience and/or training in high volume kitchen preparation and cooking.* Must have a current San Diego County Food Handlers card, issued by the city of San Diego.* Reliable transportation is necessary.**Skills & Abilities:*** Basic mathematical skills* Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions* Ability to maintain professionalism* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment* Ability to utilize timekeeping software* Strong organizational skills**Work Environment/Physical Demands:*** Able to work in kitchen environment with varying temperatures and noise levels for long periods of time* Be able to safely lift bags, cases and stacks weighing up to 60 pounds up to 30 times per shift* Regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk* Required to use hands to wash, cut, manipulate tools and food items* Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds with assistance
